Simply cozy and delicious!

If you want to eat something delicious after the beautiful wildlife park, you should definitely try your luck elsewhere ... Mushrooms and peppers from the can only make you full, but not happy ...

Everything fresh from the frozen food (e.g. broccoli) or glass (champions) ... Except for the parsley which was dried ... There is no more money for good food, the water feature devours all the coal ...

Very nicely located restaurant that offers more than you can see from the outside. Right at the foot of the castle you have a wonderful view of the castle and Geroldstein. The castle can be visited from the parking lot in front of the restaurant through a revolving door. The rear parking lot is then at the same level as the beautifully situated terrace. The view from there is simply terrific. The restaurant is also beautifully designed and invites you to linger. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Even our dog was given water without being asked. The hygiene regulations would be adhered to. The menu has a nice variety. Not too much, but it is enough to be able to order something extraordinary. The prices are very reasonable. The food was plentiful, well presented and very tasty. I can only warmly recommend the Forsthaus Kasselburg.

We were very surprised by the friendliness of the landlords, very accommodating owners. The kitchen was excellent. Very lovingly fully furnished, great attention was paid to the details. The view from the restaurant to the castle is great. A worthwhile visit. Dead and cake are also a treat. Highly recommend ‘worth it. Our boys enjoyed the water organ in astonishment.

The waitress was very eager. Had to ask three times for the first 2 things (1x french fries with ketchup & majo and 1x french fries with ketchup). At the end there were two fries with ketchup & majo. We also ordered pork medallions and two vegetables. When the fried potatoes couldn't be ordered without bacon, we were puzzled. After the food was served it was clear why. They were ready meals ... I expect a lot more from a restaurant. All in all a failure.

Once again, nice, friendly waiters are half the battle. Nice beer garden, great view, located directly at the castle, food was good, beer from mugs was great, a water feature in the interior and now and then an eagle from the bird show flies overhead. Event gastronomy😁

The excursion restaurant is located directly under the "Kasselburg" castle and offers enough seats inside and outside in a relatively cozy environment. The prices of the food and drinks are reasonable for such a destination. In terms of taste, this can be classified as "good civil cuisine" and there was nothing to complain about in terms of quality. And this is exactly where the positive impression ended, which is why I can only forgive 3 ***. The service staff made a disoriented impression and the way they took the order left a lot to be desired. There were relatively few guests in the restaurant that day, so that such a chaotic process was not understandable. After the first attempt to order the drinks, which was unfortunately very unfriendly, the lady came several times to ask what was ordered. You also got the feeling from the process as if it were a mass processing. The friendliness of the lady left a lot to be desired at times. However, this improved in the course of the stay. On the whole you can eat and drink well here, but you should either employ more service staff or pay more attention to the friendliness of your employees. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I can only give 3 stars.

It's okay but you go back to the 80's. The food isn't very special but if you've been to the wildlife park it's fine to have a drink. The ministry is not trained and can certainly learn a lot.

We have never eaten this bad. The service tried to be friendly but you didn't feel welcome. It's a shame because you can get a lot more out of the restaurant. Not even a star from me for that.

Too bad about this restaurant with this excellent location! More not properly and our children were also ignored because they didn't even get cutlery for their meal. We don't know if the lady had a bad day or just wasn't feeling well. She leaned several times in the door frame and cupboards. Her movements were slowed down and she looked disoriented. In the meantime, our daughter had to go to the toilet. We immediately turned back after entering because the smell in the women's toilet was unbearable. I choked, our daughter then went into the bush. A family came with 2 dogs, which were supplied with water and were given treats, and maybe they should specialize in animals if they have priority. With the meal: my husband had game, it was a bit dry, but otherwise ok, the kids french fries and sausages, also ok and I a salad, where the MANY dressing covered the freshness that was no longer available. In general, it can be said that you only feel ripped off. You don't leave very little money there, but you only have a nice view and no service. Very sorry, we hope you take your chance with this property in a prime location and do it And above all, it should be made much more attractive for families, because the Eagle and Wolf Park is right next door. There is one positive thing to report: the table was cleared by another service person, who was very friendly!

Forsthaus Kasselburg All in all, everything was fine. The forest house is definitely sufficient for hikers. The food was quick and good at reasonable prices. The waiters were all very friendly and attentive. There is a water organ inside, but since we were sitting outside I can't say much about it. Photo of the view from the terrace.

The service was super friendly and accommodating. However, the food only deserves a "well cooked". Freshly cooked is probably not here. Too bad that the chef lets rags. Because the price can not really be that you take cheap products ..

Wonderful trip cafe / restaurant. In beautiful weather a gorgeous view. Because of illness was only a lady who made the conditions, but not a long wait time despite well attended. Food was very good. Prices are okay. Only the water games nice to look BUT very noisy as they are inside in the restaurant.

Delicious food. Friendly service. The indoor fountains and lightshow was a little unusual for us, but our kids apreciated it very much. We recommend the place.
